The Parrot Patio Bar & Grill has the best nachos in Sarasota. They have an awesome outdoor patio with live music. The service was fast and the staff was friendly.
It tends to be fairly noisy inside. But, you’re coming for nachos, not fillet mignon. Going back to the nachos… Our favorite were the mouth watering ahi tuna nachos.
Ahi Wonton Nachos
Ahi Wonton Nachos are made with crispy wonton chips instead of tortilla. It’s then topped with seared ahi tuna, mango pico de gallo and avocado. The finish, they add shredded cabbage and a little spicy wasabi mayo.
Nachos el Grande
Nachos el Grande are made with crispy fresh tortilla chips. Which are topped with cheddar jack cheese, black beans, diced tomatoes and green onions. You can then choose to add chili or chicken in creole sauce.
Sharky’s On the Pier

Sharky’s On the Pier has the best nachos in Sarasota, but there is a downside. It’s unfortunately 20-25 minutes from Sarasota.
To be fair, since half the country moved here, everything is now a drive anyway. Once you have their nachos, you’ll probably come back again. Here’s why…
The nachos are huge. There’s more nachos than one person can comfortably handle. For those brave enough to finish everything, you are a different breed. Congrats.
Spiced Seafood Nachos with Bay Shrimp
Fresh corn tortilla chips with juicy bay shrimp, melted sharp cheddar, monterey jack, diced tomatoes, scallions, black beans and jalapenos. It’s also served with salsa and sour cream. The bay shrimp loaded nachos are $18.
Nachos with Bay Shrimp and Lump Crab Meat
Loaded nachos with juicy shrimp, lump crab meat, melted sharp cheddar, monterey jack, diced tomatoes, scallions, black beans and jalapenos. The crab meat is to die for. OMG good. However, they come at a cost of $28.
Tip: If you love guacamole and pico de gallo, you can add it to any loaded nachos for $3.
Sharky’s is also one of the best beach restaurants in Sarasota, FL and it’s located in front of a 700 foot fishing pier.
Gecko’s Grill & Pub
351 N Cattlemen Rd, Sarasota, FL
Gecko’s Grill & Pub piles their loaded nachos a mile high. And they don’t fill it with lettuce! It’s a big sports bar with multiple TV’s. Whether it’s hockey, basketball or football, this is a great place to watch the game and eat some nachos.
While we love their nacho el grade platter, the ahi tuna nachos are the most popular. They also happen to be our favorite.
Ahi Tuna Nachos
The crispy wonton chips are covered with rare sesame-crusted yellow-fin tuna. It’s then mixed with wakame salad, wasabi cream & soy sauces. Finished with pickled ginger & scallions. Many locals swear these are the best nachos in Sarasota, FL. A must try!
Nacho El Grade Platter
These are your traditional loaded nachos. Tortilla chips with chili, cheddar and jack cheese. Then they pile on lettuce, tomatoes and onion. It also comes with salsa and sour cream.
FOOD+BEER – Gulf Gate

FOOD + BEER has many locations. However, the Gulf Gate location sure knows how to make great nachos. It’s a modern bar and kitchen with industrial vibes. The atmosphere feels like you’re in a big city.
The menu is super fun and there’s lots to choose from. Tin can nachos, PBR friend pickles, Mexican street corn, Chi-Town corn dog, Legalize Marinara, 1800-Ask-Mahi and more. The menu names are clearly fun and so is the place!
Famous Tin Can Nachos
The loaded nachos are served in a tin can. Expect tomatillo stewed chicken, white queso, pico de gallo, black bean and corn salsa, guacamole, lime crema and pickled onions.
MVP- My Village Pub
5200 Ocean Blvd, Siesta Key, FL
MVP (My Village Pub) is a new sports bar in Siesta Key that opened in 2019. It’s clean, modern and has super friendly bartenders. They have lots of TV’s to watch whatever game is on. However, it can get busy.
This is a great place to get nachos and some shrimp tacos. Locals claim they have some of the best tacos in Sarasota.
What are MVP Nachos?
Their loaded nachos have tortilla chips, black beans, cheddar jack, pico de gallo and jalapeno. They come with a side of salsa and sour cream.

Poblanos Mexican Grill & Bar

Poblanos Mexican Grill is well known for three things.

- Chicken fajita nachos
Many locals swear their chicken fajita nachos are the best nachos in Sarasota. While the tortilla chips are fresh, they do get soaked in queso. The cheese softens up the tortilla chips and some people complain that they’re soggy. They are not.
Chicken fajitas are juicy and moist if done right. Mixed with fresh tortilla chips, they’re going to soften up. That’s normal.
What’s Inside the Famous Fajitas Nachos?
Flour based tortilla chips sautéed with bell peppers and onions. Then smothered with their signature queso dip. Then comes the guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo.
The Fajitas Nachos come with grilled shrimp, chicken, steak or grilled veggies. Poblanos is definitely one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in Sarasota.
The Hub Baja Grill
5148 Ocean Blvd, Sarasota, FL
The Hub Baja Grill is one of the best restaurants in Siesta Key village. People come here for the Grouper tacos, Grouper sandwiches, mahi mahi lettuce wraps and lobster bisque. However, they also have really good nachos with baja shrimp.
Gluten Free Grande Nachos
Fresh corn tortilla chips with beef chili, queso, cheddar jack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes,, cilatro and scallions. You can substitute beef chili with baja chicken or baja shrimp.
Glory Days Grill

Glory Days Grill is known for cheap but amazing $5 margaritas. They offer smoked bbq chicken nachos, buffalo chicken nachos and smoked bbq pulled pork nachos.
Skip the Pulled Pork Nachos
We recommend skipping the pulled pork nachos. They were fairly dry.
We Recommend the Buffalo Chicken Nachos
Crispy tortilla chips with queso, a mix of difference cheeses, buffalo chicken, salsa, blue cheese drizzle and cilantro.
Gilligan’s Island Bar & Grill

Gilligan’s Island Bar & Grill is a cute laid back tiki hut style restaurant. Their ground beef nachos come on a huge shareable tray. For those brave enough to go at it alone. Good luck.
You can practically share with the whole restaurant and still have some for yourself. We’re over exaggerating, but you get it. You absolutely must try the nachos if you’re coming here, they’re very good.
Unstoppable Nachos
Nacho chips with a choice of seasoned ground beef or black beans. Topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, jalapeño and sour cream. Finished with their signature homemade white queso.
We would recommend asking for extra cheese if you want to have the full experience.
Miller’s Ale House
3800 Kenny Dr, Sarasota, FL
Miller’s Ale House is known for delicious chicken nachos. It’s a great sports bar for watching a game, ordering a beer and some nachos.
Their chicken nachos are made with monterey jack and cheddar cheeses, tortilla chips, roasted chile spiced chicken, pico de gallo, scallions, and drizzled with garlic-lime crema. Served with a bowl of white queso for dipping.
Mini-Mex Tex-Mex Chicken Nachos
They tasted excellent, but there weren’t enough toppings. We highly recommend it, but we want to see more lettuce and cheese. It’s about 1,000 calories.
Mega-Mex Tex-Mex Chicken Nachos
If you want more toppings, the Mega-Mex doubles everything! It’s about 2,260 calories.
Nokomo’s Sunset Hut
690 S Tamiami Trail, Nokomis, FL
Nokomo’s Sunset Hut is a laid back Caribbean restaurant with live music. Its a fun place with good food and some killer shrimp nachos.
Do they have the best nachos in Sarasota? They’re not top 10, but they’re much better than other restaurants that make nachos.
Noko Nachos (Awesome)
Loaded nachos with black beans, cheese, tomato, scallions, jalapenos and queso. Finished with salsa and sour cream. You can add chicken, beef, shrimp or pork. We highly recommend adding the chicken.
